A Couple of Home Food Pics

December 31, 2009

This past weekend, I was back down South, in Kentucky for Christmas.  Our schedule was packed and it was awesome being home. The weather was great, even when it went from 50°F to about 30°F overnight.  I suppose that anything beats -5°F.

In some of our Christmas presents, we took treats from up here, including Clodhoppers, Coffee Crisp (you like your coffee crisp?) and Kinder. In exchange, we got Rebecca Ruth Bourbon Balls, Ramsey’s and some good home cookin’. Unfortunately, I only took photos of Ramsey’s good Southern food and the traditional Christmas morning mariner’s wheel.  Despite the lack of pictures, everything was delicious.

And then I came home and put the sweater the dog got for Christmas on her. She hated it, but it’s so cute!

I saw your blog through the comment you left on Joy The Baker’s site which I was lucky enough to be a part of today! The southern name got my attention and sure enough you have a recipe for biscuits, but more importantly, you have the most incredible fried chicken (homemade I’m assuming) posted on your page! Beyond hungry right now for that!

Look forward to seeing some gravy for those biscuits sometime soon…
